Record Tourists Visit Cuba

2011 saw Cuba succeed against the global travel trends.

December 29, 2011. This year the island received more than 2.5 million tourists, slightly more than 2010.
A growing percentage of the visitors are headed outside Havana for the beaches and golf of Varadero and eco-tours in Pinar delRio.

Canada sends the most tourists to the island. The UK, Italy, Spain and Germany also send significant numbers of visitors.
